Security tools

A generated password is only as safe as how you store and use it. Entropy figures describe the size of the search space, not a guarantee — a strong password typed into a compromised device is compromised regardless of length. Hashing tools demonstrate digests; they are not password-storage solutions, which require deliberately slow key-derivation functions.

Image tools

Compression is lossy by nature: quality discarded during encoding can't be recovered. Keep originals of anything irreplaceable. Format conversions follow your browser's encoders, and results can vary slightly between browsers.

Colour and data tools

Contrast ratios are computed from colour values, not measured on your screen — real-world legibility also depends on displays, lighting and vision. Data conversions are literal transformations; always verify critical output (especially sorted or reformatted JSON) before using it where bytes matter.
